Universal Bactericide — A Natural, Non-Antibiotic Alternative to Antibiotics
Antimicrobial resistance is the consequence of a mechanism: antibiotics apply selective pressure, and bacteria adapt. Aybar Ecotechnologies has developed an enzyme-based antibacterial platform that works by a different mechanism entirely, and therefore does not create that pressure.
This is not a single product. It is a platform with medical, dental, veterinary, and respiratory applications, protected by granted patents in Japan and Mexico.
How the Platform Works
Lysozyme, Chelation & a pH-Stabilized Formulation
The formulation combines lysozyme, a naturally occurring enzyme, with a chelating agent and a pH-stabilizing salt. The chelation system disrupts the outer membrane that ordinarily shields gram-negative bacteria from lysozyme, and the pH stabilizer keeps the system active under physiological conditions.
Broad-Spectrum Efficacy Against Gram-Positive & Gram-Negative Bacteria
The granted claims cover a composition with bactericidal activity against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, which is the boundary most enzyme-based approaches have not crossed.
No Selective Pressure for Resistance
Because the mechanism is physical disruption rather than interference with a metabolic pathway, it does not select for resistant strains in the way conventional antibiotics do.
Dental & Oral Care Applications
The dental indication is the furthest advanced, and the only one supported by clinical data to date.
Clinical Comparison Against Chlorhexidine 0.12%
A comparative clinical study of 70 subjects, included in the Mexican patent, measured the experimental formulation against chlorhexidine 0.12%, the reference oral antiseptic:
- Gingival index fell to effectively zero by the end of the study; with chlorhexidine it remained above 0.5 in almost 50% of subjects
- No bleeding sites recorded at 14 days, and gingival inflammation minimized in 75% of treated cases
- Unpleasant taste reported by 14% in the dental extraction group, against 88% for chlorhexidine
- No alteration of taste perception in 0% of experimental cases, against 50% (extraction) and 71% (implants) for chlorhexidine
- Favorable results for pain, inflammation, and bleeding control following extractions and implants
- No adverse events attributable to the formulation during the study

Chewable tablets, bactericidal gel, and irrigation solutions for antibacterial oral hygiene, gingivitis and periodontal disease, asepsis and irrigation during dental surgery, and post-extraction and post-implant recovery.

The same formulation logic applies to wound care and surgical asepsis, where resistance-free antibacterial action is valuable and where the safety profile observed in the dental study is directly relevant.
Respiratory & Gastrointestinal Infection Control
Respiratory delivery is the platform’s largest opportunity and its least developed. Reaching it requires targeted clinical and translational trials of respiratory delivery systems, which we are actively seeking partners to run.
Veterinary Applications
Livestock and poultry health is an area where antibiotic dependency is under regulatory pressure worldwide, and where a non-antibiotic bactericide has a clear commercial path. Our MASTOFIT and AVIFIT programmes address this segment.
Respiratory Health & Force Health Protection
Respiratory illness is a persistent operational risk in military settings. Close-quarters living, high operational stress, and exposure to airborne hazards including dust, burn pits, and industrial emissions raise both infection rates and long-term respiratory vulnerability.

Establishing that requires clinical validation, which is the purpose of the partnerships we are seeking.
Safety & Regulatory Status
We are precise about stage, because the difference matters to every serious partner:
- Granted — Mexico. Patent MX 433331, granted by IMPI on 23 March 2026, covering the bactericidal pharmaceutical composition and claims to its therapeutic use. In force until 28 May 2040.
- Granted — Japan. Patent JP 7768769.
- Pending — United States. Application under prosecution at the USPTO.
- Components. The individual components are recognized as safe.
- Phase 1 market entry. Oral chewables as a dietary supplement under DSHEA, positioned for oral health and microbiome balance. This is a fast-entry validation route, not the end objective.
A granted patent and recognized-safe components are not the same thing as an approved therapeutic claim in any given market. Regulatory pathways are territory by territory, and we treat them that way.
